Mary Martha Guild (Continued)
The LWML promotes and encourages Mission involvement by supplying endless amounts of educational and inspirational materials for the personal spiritual growth of its members. The League directs its members to ways in which they may become a part of the great mission endeavor through personal and corporate mission service. Mite boxes, used prayerfully by each member, are a blessed and vital part of this service. Even if you are not a member, everyone is invited to attend. This would be an experience in Christian growth and fellowship that would never be forgotten and would change your life.
The Mary Martha Guild serves the congregation and the community throughout the year by serving meals for weddings and funerals or any other occasion which needs this service. Cards and visits to shut-ins and the elderly or ill are made regularly by Guild members, as well as meals taken to families in times of crises. Voluntary cash gifts are sent to numerous charitable organizations. Mission packs are sent regularly to overseas mission stations. Monthly visits to Mt. View Health Care Center provide the residents with opportunity for fun and fellowship and bingo. Each year the Guild sponsors bake, craft and candy sales and the proceeds go to different special missions. To encourage fellowship among our own congregation, the Guild hosts a meaningful Service of Prayer in February and a Mother-Daughter Banquet in May and Christmas Tea in December.
We appeal to all the women of Rib Mountain Lutheran Church to become a part of this organization. The Lord desires that you become involved and He desires to bless you as you serve Him with gladness!
